WEDNESDAY at the Festival

Primary School Animation Event

10.15 - 11.15am

Screening of animations by Foxton and Arbury KS2 children made in association with Long Road Level 2 diploma students on work experience

(Arts Picturehouse screen 3)

plus exhibition of posters by the children and some examples of diploma students’ video work and...some surprises !

The students who went on work experience at the primary schools are also using this as the basis for their Level 2 freestanding project and some of the animations will be entered for the Cambridgeshire Filmstarz competition in the summer.

The support of the two schools is much appreciated.

THURSDAY at the Festival

Schools and Colleges screening of diploma video work

(Screen 1 at the Arts Picturehouse)

Featuring Level 1, 2 and 3 work from across the consortium, including animation, documentary, instructional video, swedes, film openings, short films made at the seaside, book trailers and work from the performance unit.

FRIDAY at the Festival

MK&LRN Conference at Homerton College

Students Show and Tell

presenting and reflecting on aspects of their work

Diploma students will explore their creativity and reflect upon their learning in a practical hands-on session with artists Idit Nathan and Sally Brown from Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination.

Teachers, academics and friends of the diploma will consider issues around creativity and the diploma based upon the morning presentations

Final Plenary Session
